Vietnam Tourism - The Next Upscale Tourism Destination

Vietnam has lot to offer and amongst the top theme holidays spot for a luxury vacation. If you are looking to indulge in a luxurious beach holiday, here are the top spots of Vietnam to consider.

Nha Trang

What once was the small town of Nha Trang has today developed into a world class seaside resort town, with its large bay and numerous pristine beaches, surrounded by mountains. Nha Trang is one of the most important tourist hubs of Vietnam, thanks to its beautiful beaches with fine and clean sand and the clear ocean water with mild temperatures all year round. There are several resorts - such as Vinpearl, Diamond Bay and Ana Mandara - and amusement and water parks, both in the city and on islands off the coast. The possibly most beautiful street of Nha Trang is Tran Phu Street along the seaside, sometimes referred to as the Pacific Coast Highway of Vietnam. Besides the beaches, one can also visit the several nearby islands for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are also a number of places of cultural and historical importance near by. One of the hotels associated with high end Vietnam tourism in Nha Trang is the Six Senses Hideaway Ninh Van Bay 5 star beach resort, where you can choose to stay in a private villa overlooking the bay, on the water, nestled amongst rocks or in the jungle. Each villa has its own pool and unique awe-inspiring views.

Ha Long Bay

Forming a part of the country's North coast, Ha Long Bay is another top of the line Vietnam tourism spot. Here one can find tranquil lakes set amongst limestone islands. If you are interested in Vietnam holidays that expose you to the nature of the country, this is a great option. Some of the most remarkable geological events in Hạ Long Bay's history in the last 1,000 years, include the advance of the sea, the raising of the bay area, strong erosion that has formed coral, and, pure blue and heavily salted water. This process of erosion by seawater has deeply engraved the stone, contributing to its fantastic beauty. Present-day Hạ Long Bay is the result of this long process of geological evolution that has been influenced by so many factors.

On account of all these factors, tourists visiting Hạ Long Bay are not only treated to one of the natural wonders of the world, but also to a precious geological museum that has been naturally preserved in the open air for the last 300 million years. The Ha Long Bay consists of a dense cluster of over 3,000 limestone monolithic islands, each topped with thick jungle vegetation, rising spectacularly from the ocean. Several of the islands are hollow, with enormous caves. Hang Dau Go (Wooden stakes cave) is the largest grotto in the Hạ Long area. French tourists visited in the late 19th century, and named the cave Grotte des Merveilles. Its three large chambers contain large numerous stalactites and stalagmites (as well as 19th century French graffiti). There are two bigger islands, Tuan Chau and Cat Ba, that have permanent inhabitants. Both of them have tourist facilities including hotels and beaches. There are a number of beautiful beaches on the smaller islands. This area houses an evergreen bio-system that displays great biodiversity. The Tuan Chau Island Holiday Villa is one of the upscale resorts in this area and is located on an exclusive private island.

Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet, which is around 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City has for centuries been a fishing village. Even today this little town hasn't lost much of its old world charm. While you can stay at a resort that offers the very best luxuries, by wandering around in the town, this is one of the Vietnam holidays that will allow you to get a feel for what the local life – particularly a fisherman's life is all about. Vietnam tourism often combines the best of two worlds and in this fishing town you will find Novotel Coralia Ocean Dunes and Golf Resort that mirrors this phenomenon. This beach front hotel has a Nick Faldo designed golf course and all the amenities of a world class resort.
