Vietnam Bicycle

The Vietnamese Bicycle

Transports of the Vietnam War
During the war, tubeless reinforced bicycles moved tons of supplies over the  Ho Chi Minh Trail, on jungle paths and over mountains, bypassing the DMZinto South Vietnam. To staunch the flow, the US Air Force deployed massive bombardments, movement sensors, rain making and chemical concoctions that were ultimately unsuccessful.

Cycling off the beaten track
Today, without the hazards of unfriendly terrain and raining ordnance, vehicle supported cycling is a wonderful way to explore Vietnam. Whether you choose a classic or pioneering route, it is a singularly, spontaneous adventure with an incomparable sense of freedom; the exhilaration of cresting over hills to freewheel down with the wind in your face, the quiet rhythm of life as you pedal amble along river banks and country tracks or explore the surprises of narrow city alleys. Breaks between cycling sections may find you in boating in the Mekong Delta or river hollowed caves of Phong Nha, sipping rice wine or hot coffee in the misty, cool heights of tribal villages, resting by a waterfall or an encounter with delightful, curious children.

We operate customized cycling tour in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos with light weight, alloy frame, multi geared bicycles with adjustable seats.
