All Inclusive Holidays To Vietnam

going to vietnam for the first time!?

i am 21 years old and thinking of going to vietnam for 2 weeks with my boyfriend...
we have never been before and do not speak the language, i would really appreciate some all round advise...down to everything, hotels destinations who to book with..can we do an all inclusive holiday ect ect!!

neither of us are looking for a specific type of experiance,,,,just a amazing one, and we feel vietnam is the place to get this!

Vietnam is a beautiful country, i recommend Ha Long Bay for sure and Hanoi also, as Traveler mentioned get your visa organised well in advance, agoda.com and hotels.com have cheap hotels that you can book online easily with a credit card if you want to sort out your accomm yourself.
It is the only country in S.E. Asia that I've experienced scams personally (giving you the wrong change by "accident", agreeing on a price then changing it later, and things like that) but if you are aware of it you'll be fine, and it is as in most cases the small majority that ruin it for everyone else.
Ho Chi Minh is really worth a look just for a day or two but the other spots as Traveler mentioned are great. Definately check out Hanoi for a day or two also, it is a very interesting city.
You don't need to worry about speaking vietnamese, most people you will deal with speak english, or at least enough to get by. I would take a calculator though, it makes buying things easy sometimes in smaller towns or at markets, just show it to the seller and they will type in the price for you.

As traveler mentioned a lonely planet phrasebook is handy, even if you can't pronounce things very well to begin with.

Have a great trip.
