Holidays Of Vietnam

holidays of vietnam"holidays of vietnam"
Approximately, how many american soldiers fought and died in Vietnam?

I have to write an essay on who I think should be recognized for doing a service for the United states. Although there is already a Veteran's Day, I believe that those who died in the vietnam war should have their own holiday. The Vietnam war is very close to my heart because that's the war that my uncle fought in. I think that it would be a great service to the families of the fallen to have a holiday dedicated to their loved ones.
Any information on the vietnam war would be great, Thanks and have a great day =)

About 9,000,000 men and women served in the armed forces during the Vietnam era.

About 3,500,000 served in country at one point or another over the 15 year period of the Vietnam era.

There were about 550,000 troops deployed in 1968 at the height of the war.

About 58,000 (mostly) men died in Vietnam.
