Traveling to Vietnam soon, was wondering what kind of electricity converter i need for hair appliances?
my straighter says it AC120V and I"ve been looking at different types of converters but for most of them it says that it's not compatible with hair straighteners, but for some reason it says u can use hair dryers and curling irons with it.... so if anyone can help me with what would be compatible that would be GREAT! thanks in advance
electricity here in Vietnam is AC220/240 and will blow up your straightener. However; small appliances like that are really cheap here and you should be able to pick something up for under 5 bucks.
And remember. there are hair salons everywhere here and they are really inexpensive and generally require no appointment. Many times, when feeling lazy, I will just go to the barber for a trim... at the same time a shave and ear cleaning, (lol, Really) are all part of the 2 dollar charge.
The same applies to many of the girls that I know. when you can just drop in and have your hair and everything else done for very little... well, why not?
