im planning a trip to vietnam,Cambodia,bangkok and home to ireland from australia.?

If you are flexible with times, from time to time JetStar offer "sale fares" to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is just a 4 and 1/2 hour flight. I saw just today a one way to HCMC, Vietnam from Darwin for $112 AUS including taxes on 4 days in mid April.
Consider a bus from HCMC to Phnom Penh for only $14 USD (5 hours) and another bus to Bangkok for just $12 USD (about 6 - 8 hours), you are getting to a major international hub. From Bangkok, or a little further afield, from Singapore, a return fare to Europe for as little as $650 USD, so a one way might be as little as $400.
If you go into China, air fares to Russian destinations are just a couple hundred dollars, and then there is the train option into Europe for a couple hundred. Or, to fly from Eastern Europe into UK, is only a couple hundred one way.
