I'm 15, can I leave the country?
Haha, no, not for good.
This summer, I want to go to Vietnam to visit my grandparents. My parental units just went to Vietnam last summer so they don't have any vacation time left.
I want to stay in Vietnam for a month. Flying to Vietnam directly without stops is not possible, so my parents and I always go from here (D.C.) to Tokyo, Japan (this takes 14 hours). From there, we fly to Ho Chi Minh City. (3 hours wait for the transfer, 4 hours for the actual flight.) ONE WHOLE DAY OF MY LIFE GONE ON A PLANE.
I HAVE flown alone outside the country. (To Japan for tourism, haha.) My parents are just worried about the transferring part. But, for Pete's sake, I'm a 15 year-old girl who speaks the wonderful universal language of English.
If you had a kid my age with the same circumstances, would you allow me to fly to Vietnam to visit my oh so darling grandparents alone?
Well your intentions are noble, I would be so proud to have you as a daughter. However, it's your parents decision. The problems today are that there have been alot of reported kidnapping by foriegn countrys. See, once your outside the USA, its almost impossible to get you back if something goes wrong. You can look it up on the internet and see all the problems.
So if they dont let you go, Just know that its because they love you, and not that they dont trust you !
