Travelling Vietnam

Travelling to Vietnam...going through customs?

I am travelling to Vietnam from the USA to see my friend. What will I expect going through customs when i get off the plane. I have never flown internationally before.
I do have a visa.

Vietnamese customs and immigration is super easy in comparison to US customs. You will go through much more hassle on your return trip that you will in Vietnam.
Basically, you will be put through a couple of lines. One to verify your Visa. (immigration) and then they will run your baggage through the xray machine. I have never seen bags searched here and I have never had to give any customs or immigration people any money at all for a bribe. It just does not happen with this super easy entrance to Vietnam.
So no worries about Viet Customs clearance. You don't even have to think about it much less worry!

Traffic here is heavy but in my many experiences I have never been in an accident on my way to the airport. I have taken both taxi's and motorbikes and Pedestrians and other motor bikes have been safe. lol I am not sure where the other poster was. ... but the Vietnam he describes and My Vietnam are different places.
