Where should we go, Malaysia, Vietnam or Indonesia? Help travellers!?
Myself and my girlfriend are planning a two week holiday in Asia on the return leg of our annual Xmas trip from Ireland to Australia.
We have been to Thailand and Cambodia before, and would now like to visit another Asian Country.
Key Points:
-We would like to stay in a really nice hotel/ guesthouse for less than $60 p/night
-There needs to be a good choice of Western Eateries, as i am a picky eater and so far haven't gotten the taste palette around Asian food !
-We would like to preferably be near water/ sea as I would like to do a bit of fishing whilst we are there (Beach is not important)
Where would you recommend based on your experiences?! The food thing is quite important and that's what is holding up the decision... darn my picky eating!!
Thanks :)
So many choices.
Malaysia is good with lots of coast line and cool places but it is primarily Islamic and sometimes it can be hard to find a decent cocktail.
Vietnam has everything that you want. Phu Quoc island is beautiful and the price is right. Lots of western restaurants that will help with your palate.
Bali is the best of all of these. Hundreds of great beaches and many guest houses that are very cool for less money than you are talking about.
I don't know if you have booked your tickets yet but Air Asia has some really cheap fares out of Stansfield. I'm talking 280 pounds to Bali but you can fly into Kuala lumpur and fly to anywhere in Asia for cheap... including back to Aus.

If it was me I would go to Bali.
but I live in vietnam
