How many days is idea to travel 2 HoChiMinh & place of interest around? I plan to travel end May from S'pore
What is the good & cheap hotels to consider? What is the budget range for 2 adults for the trips (exclude air fare)?
last year i spent 1 month backpacking throughout vietnam.
i suggest these itinerary in hcmc:
day 1 - hcmc attractions (museums, palaces, temples, art galleries)
day 2 - cu chi tunnels, war museum and the special temple
day 3 & 4 - mekong delta: buy a 2 day homestay package and visit the mekong delta plus can tho and my tho. you will see interesting sights and activities at mekong delta. and also the floating commodity market.
day 6 - hcmc shopping and exploring (go to pham ngu lao and dong koi areas, night markets, ben than market, lot of nice cafes to try and explore too)
day 7 & 8 - relax by the beach at muine (5 hours from hcmc). one of the popular beach areas. of coz na thrang and danang are much better but they are too far away from hcmc.
day 9 - last day in hcmc and fly off to spore
