Looking for a hostel or cheep hotel in Hanoi
I’m taking the train down to Vietnam will arrive in Hanoi need some cheep but safe accommodation for me and my daughter
I stayed in a hostel in the outskirts of Hanoi through a volunteer program for $3 a day. Unfortunately you would have to join the volunteer program which costs a lot of money. After I was done volunteering, the program director sent me to a place called Old Street Hotel. It's located on 23 Ma May street in the old quarter of Hanoi close to Hoan kiem lake. $10 a night, and after staying in a hostel with bats, noisy lizards, and bugs, it was completely worth it. Plus the hotel is on a very safe street and they'll even do your laundry for you. They can even help you extend your visa which they had to do in my case. Tell them Michael the guy in a motorcycle accident sent you and they'll get a good laugh out of it.
