Which country should I go to?
Im going to travel through asia, definitely going to china and probably thailand and so only have time to go to one or two more. Which of these countries (1 or 2) should I visit?
Im not so concerned with shopping or luxury etc, just culture, difference (from uk), learning and fun... ie which are the most interesting?
Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia, Korea, Burma?
Mongolia would be the most fascinating and it does have that "off the beaten track feel". Cambodia is worth visiting for Angkor Wat alone.
But I would choose Vietnam. Sightseeing in the cities (lots of war related stuff too), plus there are French and Chinese influences so it's the most aethestic and fascinating country. Travelling in the north east and north west of Vietnam is beautiful (landscape and villages) especially towards the China border.
