Holidays To Vietnam

BALI vs. THAILAND vs. VIETNAM (HOLIDAY!)?

Hey just trying to figure out a place to go for 3 weeks in FEBRUARY, that does not cost too much at all.

Went to thailand previously for 2 weeks and it costs $2000 (pretty good!) Obviously doe snot include spending money. I went to Phuket and Bangkok. Want to try a different place this time..even if its in the same country. Also countries not in my list could be possible..sumatra for example? Keep in mind airfares are huge some places!! Thanks!!!!

My question is: WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO VISIT?? And where abouts in that country/city?
All the info you have will be very helpful!!

Thanks!!
Also im from Australia (brisbane QLD)

All those countries cost about the same! But the food is cheap. If you wanted to go to Bali, you should go when they have a festival. But you can go to Vietnam during february when the have chinese new year. Or you can go to Australia and see the outback.

In bali however, one custom or belief is that the head is sacred and if you lift anything above someone's head it is blasphemous. The people there do not know how to swim, I'm pretty sure maybe this has changed since tourism started. The reason for not knowing how to swim is because of their beliefs in the north and south, or head and feet. The south represents death and witches. And that's where they usually go bury the dead, in the south of the island. And when you go swimming, your body's orientation is unknown and can be dangerous.

Also, they belief that evil spirits can only travel in straight lines, so they have walls in front of entrances so that the evil spirits will hit the wall and can't get in.

A lot of people have studied Bali. It is a very complex culture with a complex belief. It was so confusing to learn their calendar. Anyways, you should visit Bali, and then try Vietnam!
