Do I need to get a tour to visit south east Asia?
.... I would like to go on a trip adventure and visit Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Borneo and Indonesia.
Do you recommend to get into a tour to visit these places or would I have more fun on my own?

First of all, Borneo or Kalimantan is an island of Indonesia. So it's not a country on its own. FYI :)
Tour or on your own, it depends. I like to take a tour package, because then I will have a crowd to travel with, but with fix schedules and destinations you cannot change. While traveling alone, you have to get more trustworthy information about the local situation and it won't be easy to get help on the way if you need it.
