What you should do is pull up websites for hotels in the downtown area. The Hilton chain includes a lot of hotels including Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites and more. The Marriott also has a range of properties. Once you're in the site, look for the area to key in discounts. You'll find AARP discounts for seniors, AAA discounts for those having Triple A coverage, as well as military discounts. My husband is retired military -- but we've found that the AAA discount is often the best. Also -- when we use his military discount, they have never asked for proof at check-in.
