Hue's Accommodation offering is for all tastes and budgets
Vietnam as a travel destination is starting to create a buzz. Hue is worth a visit. It's a small city in Central Vietnam, especially by Asian standards. Only 340 000 people live in this lovely city. Yet it has accommodation, whether hotels or B & Bs, to suit every type of request and taste.
Being a tourist destination due to it's interesting history and UNESCO heritage site status obviously means that hotels are well represented. Within this accommodation spectrum one is able to find any style from simple backpackers to five star rated hotels.
Travellers may find their needs totally met. Whether you are a tourist with limited budget and taking trains through the countryside, staying in budget facilities or whether you are not concerned about costs your needs will be met.
The great thing about Vietnam is that the development of cities has been fairly chaotic. That means your 5 star hotels might be right next to a one star facility. This allows for a colourful lifestyle.
Bustling fresh produce markets are situated next to well appointed hotels and pavement eateries might sit opposite the entrance to five star accommodation. Your stay in Vietnam will always find you in the middle of people's lives.
Of course there are some beach and golf resorts that will cushion your stay and make you think you are anywhere in the world. But Vietnam and South East Asia allow you to view the real country if you stay away from those sheltering resorts.
Hue has a further attraction in that the Citadel area, found across the Perfume River, only allows double storey buildings. This means that any stay in this area is even more pleasant. You will never look into another skyscraper building.
No matter where your accommodation is in Hue, you will find the real Vietnam right next to you. That's what makes a visit to this part of the world so special. It's like living with the Vietnamese and experiencing their life. And surely, that's what travel is all about.
