How do I travel in Asia?
Hi there,
A friend and I have decided we want to go to Asia. We have 5 weeks from about mid-April and a budget of between £1000 and £2000, including flights.
What is the best way to go about doing this? I've been looking at gap-year sites but they all seem to be one destination, which would take up our whole budget, and not sure whether prices include flights?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Fly into Bangkok for about £500 return, from there there are many low cost airlines flying around Thailand (eg Phuket, Chang Mai, Krabi) from where you can see some fab places / beaches / towns.... you can also easily and cheaply get to Cambodia, Laos (my fave place EVER), Malaysia etc....
We spent 4 months in these countries (plus Indonesia and Singapore) and travelled extensively by plane, bus, train and boat, I reckon £500+ spends for a month would be about right.
It is the most amazing part of the world, I really hope you go!
