I want to take a boat or a bus from Hochimin, Vietnam to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Can someone help me? Thanks.?
I am researching how to get from Hochimin to Siem Reap, because I want to go to Angkor Wat. But it has been a nightmare. I cannot get a straight answer anywhere. I am an American girl travelling alone and just want to be safe.
Also I found a ticket for about $1,177 to Vietnam (direct flight from Japan), do you know if this is a good price. I wanted to travel directly into Cambodia but it is more expensive. Thank you again.
I recommend you take a cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap as you can have sightseeing during the journey. It will take you about 6 hours to bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap. And I can say for sure that it's a long and boring journey when you go by bus.
Your ticket price is rather good, don't bother about it. The price of Vietnam airlines ticket (Economy class) from Japan to Ho Chi Minh City is 102,000 JPY ~ USD 1,198.10. You're wise to choose fly to Vietnam first as it's easier to go to Cambodia from Vietnam rather than from your country.
