Hold windsurfing at Vietnam's premium beach of Mui Ne Phan Thiet

The 11th international Windsurfing Race-Fun Cup-Mui Ne will open  at Jibe's Beach Club (Ham Tien, Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan) by The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan in collaboration with (together with) Jibe's Beach Club.

The competitive three-day event attracted not only plenty of the world's leading athletes but also amateur ones from Russia, America, France and Vietnam, especially 10 professional athletes from various countries depend on the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA), typically such as   -Jimmy Diaz- Chairman of PWA, Chris Pressler (8th World Rank), Cyril Moussilmani (8th World Rank), Remi Vila (Windsurfing French Champion).

Cryil Moussilmani from France claimed victory in the professional event, followed by Jimmy Diaz from the US and Chir Pressler from the Republic of Austria. Meanwhile, in the men's amateur event, Nguyen Quoc Hoa from Vietnam won the first prize, followed by Truong Ky Tien, also from the host country.

The event is actually important because it will cement more intention of PWA to organize the world professional windsurfing tournament Mui Ne in 2011.

Chairman of the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA), Jimmy Diaz, said that with good weather and ideal condition at Mui Ne beach and the rapid development of windsurfing in Vietnam, the PWA plans to organize the world professional windsurfing tournament in Mui Ne in 2011. This will be the first time Vietnam will have the opportunity to host the world's most important windsurfing event, he added.

Windsurfing at Mui Ne beach is a form of annual sport competition so as to    create useful event for athletes as well as an ideal kind of entertainment, for local together with foreign travelers to Phan Thiet city.

In 2012, Vietnam will host the 2012 Asian Beach Games, which Windsurfing is one of the sports. According to   Prof Dr Hoang Vinh Giang-secretary general of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, it will take advantage of excellent conditions for development of Windsurfing in Mui Ne for Vietnam.
