Just south of Danang is Hoi An. This place looks like it's part of China, and its cultural history includes Chinese, Cham, and the Sa Huynh (Yellow Sand) people. This was part of the Champa Empire, early Vietnam's southern neighbor.Hoi An, like Danang, has excellent resorts. This is a very peaceful place, with both modern facilities and a traditional environment.

This is also the Mekong delta zone, where you can find the popular Mekong River with the big, famous, and irresistibly likeable riverboats. The giant Mekong River is justly famous for its own culture, a true international river running through six countries with a culture dating back for millennia.
