Questions about PSP's and travel....?

I'm planning on travelling in Vietnam for a few weeks and there will be a couple of long bus/train/plane journies and was thinking a PSP would be a nice way to pass the time on the long trips. but I have a couple of questions about practability.

1. before i go can I down load some of my DVD's onto it or memory sticks or what?
2. can i transfer photos directly from my digital camera to the PSP for storage
3. a couple of the places I will be staying have free wirless internet connections how is the PSP for email checking accomodation that sort of thing

Hmm...okay...
well first of all...

1. Yes you can load some of your movies, well provided that they are in .mp4 format and you have enough memory. You can try using programs like Media Manager Pro for the psp to load your movies. It'll condense the memory usage for the movie as well, I believe.

2. Yeah, you can transfer photos directly to you PSP for storage, but if you already have movies on there....you're going to need a lot of memory! Seriously. Well, anyway, yeah, you can transfer your photos to the psp as long as it uses the same kind of memory card as the psp. Memory Stick Duo? i think it was? Well, yeah. Sometimes when you buy a memory stick duo (the really small memory card you use for the psp), they come with a memory stick duo adapter that you can stick your memory card in so that it will be able to be used on cameras that use memory stick pro (the longer ones). Well, it won't work with cameras that use SD memory cards though.

3. Well, the internet browser for the PSP is a bit slow. But if you can wait for a minute or two and have patience, you're good to go. If you have used the internet browser for the psp, you know what im talking about (having to choose letters one by one).

I have a PSP and i've done all of those before. But you're going to need a few GBs for 'some' movies. Well, anyway, I hope this helped and good luck with everything. I hope you have a nice trip.
