Experienced travelers of Cambodia/Vietnam/Laos?

Flying into and out of Phnom Penh, have a total of 9 nights, want to visit Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos. To anyone who has toured this area before- please tell me what your plans were with how many nights in which city, train travels in between, and any other information that you used as a plan. I would love to copy it if you did it before!
Thanks.

I'm sorry to say but 9 days is nowhere near enough time to visit 3 countries. I'd say your best bet would be to stick to Cambodia & possible 1 other place in either Vietnam or Laos.

For Cambodia i'd head straight to Siem Reap when you arrive to visit Angkor Wat. An option would be to spend 1 night in Siem Reap & the entire next day visiting Angkor until late afternoon when getting the bus back to Phnom Penh (bus takes between 6 & 7 hours each way; not sure about flying but you wouldn't save much time having to check in & out etc.)

After this i'd get the bus from Phomn Penh to Ho Chi Minh City since there is plenty to do here. Spend a couple days in the city & visiting the Cu Chi tunnels & the Mekong Delta (day trips for both are pretty cheap & good). Buses between Phnom Penh & HCMC cost aroudn $8 & take around 6 hours.

Finally i'd head back to Pnhom Penh for a couple days (killing fields, s21 & amazing food to visit/try) before heading home. The reason i've missed out Laos is because things are pretty spread out in the country & travel times between places can take forever.
