Obama in the War Zone. Agree or disagree?
Did JFK go to Viet Nam? Did FDR or Truman go to Japan or Korea? Did any US President have to make a tour in order to understand what was happening strategically? So why are people discounting Barack's judgment "unless he's been there". It's absurd!
Because the Repubs have made it such a big deal to visit Baghdad, that for Obama to not go is a sign of "weakness". Why does Bush have to go, or Cheney, or Condi, or Rummy, or Gates??? It's a photo-op.
What gets me though, is that whenever a US dignitary goes, he has to be flown in under cover of night in secret. When the Pres of Iran visits, he gets red-carpet rock-star treatment.
