What are the most cool or hip cities/sites to visit on a trip to southeast asia!?

Im 21 and me and a couple of my friends are trying to plan a trip to southeast asia, like thailand, vietnam, ect. Were looking for fun cool places with young hip people and places to party but also to do some site seeing and to learn about the culture during the day.
