Best Golf Vacations & Holidays in Asia

Best Golf Vacations and Holidays in Asia

Some of the world's best golf vacations
are to be had in Asia, simply because golf in Asia is plentiful, spectacular and
is great value for money. While Asian golf itself needs little by way of introduction,
picking a destination within Asia to holiday in is quite another thing. The choices
are plenty, opinions varied, and a little nudge in the right direction is what
most golfers are looking for.

We've put down our favourites, so you could skip a few steps when shopping
for your Asian golf holiday. Pick your
preferred destination and set out on a great golf vacation in Asia.

Bangkok, Thailand: Need we tell you why Bangkok's on
our list? There are close to 65 golf courses, in and around the city, and the
shopping and eating is legendary. Remember this is a country completely geared
towards tourism, so entry is as simple as it can get (visa on arrival and in
less than 20 minutes more often than not). The facilities are world-class and
a reasonably priced holiday is very much doable.

Hua Hin, Thailand: Hua Hin is an unspoilt beach town with
a family getaway feel to it. The golf
courses
are splendid, especially Black Mountain, Banyan Golf club and Springfield
Village Golf & Spa. While golfers immerse themselves in their game, non-golfers
can enjoy the spas, explore the surrounding natural sights and visit the famous
night market, which is a long, winding street full of food and drink and stalls
selling everything from cheap trinkets to home decor. Hua Hin is ideal for a
short break of 3 to 4 days.

Vietnam: Apart from the art, culture, food, people and the
country itself, there's now more reason to visit Vietnam. It's been
on the world golf map for a while now with some exceptional designs & courses
to choose from. Centred in and around the cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City
and Danang as well as on the southern coast, there are some rare gems that await
the discerning golfer. To cover 2 of the above cities with golf, one should
have a minimum of 8 days. To cover all the 3 cities, one should budget 11-12
days and to cover 1, at least 5 days.

India: 140 golf courses in the most picturesque locales –
in the mountains, plains, deserts and at beach resorts. India isn't a
contender for a short break, the country is large and life diverse. A 2- week
stay is recommended to explore its beauty and diverse cultural heritage.

Golf courses are scattered around the cities and along popular tourist trails,
so it's a perfect way to see the country and play golf in historical settings
like the Delhi Golf Club and the Hyderabad Golf club (close to the famous Golconda
fort), in beautiful hill stations amidst tea estates, and in countless other
amazing locations.

You can also combine golf with spa & yoga tours for a wholesome India
experience.

Malaysia: More upmarket than its neighbour Thailand, Malaysia's
a hot favourite because of the quality of its golf courses and its diversity.
There are more than 190 courses in the country, and you can choose to play it
all - city golf, highland golf and beach golf. The most popular golf itinerary
in Malaysia is the Kuala Lumpur, Genting and Langkawi tour, which you can do
in about a week.
