What to eat
There are a variety of food choices throughout the whole of Vietnam. It ranges from restaurant food to street food. Depending on your budget (or whether you have a sensitive stomach) you can choose what kind of food you wish to indulge in. The street food is recommended as it could match up to restaurant food in terms of taste and variety. Plus it is much cheaper.

What to do

  • Canyoning

Canyoning basically means going through a canyon. The best thing about Dalat's canyons is that it runs through waterfalls. So imagine yourself rappelling down a waterfall or hanging from a rope as water is gushing down on you. Simply exhilarating! The guides speak decent English. Everything is thought from the basics so you do not have to worry if you do not have any prior experience. The equipments used looks very safe and reliable. Part of the activities include going down a waterslide, jumping off a 10m cliff into a river and also hanging from a rope while the water falls right onto you. Check out for "The Washing Machine". Although the water was freezing cold, we definitely had a lot of fun. We would strongly recommend agency, Phat Tire. The website is right below. It contains all the details such as the address and pricing etc.http://www.phattireventures.com/canyon.php

  • Trekking

Da Lat is a great place for trekking. There is a lot of Flora and Fauna to observe. They have routes which are easier and a little more challenging. If you into greenery and also wildlife this would be something you might be interested in. Phat Tire Ventures does offer trekking services so click the above link for more details.

  • White Water Rafting /Kayaking

They do have Grade 2,3 and 4 rapids in Dalat. So Dalat would be a rafter's paradise. The water would be freezing though. But then again it would be a fun experience for any of you adrenaline junkies out there. A more laid-back activity would be kayaking, it also a great way to admire Dalat's beautiful lakes. Just visit the website for more details.

  • Mountain Biking

Another must-do in Dalat is Mountain Biking. They have one and two day tours. They have many different Mountain Biking tours so you can choose the one that suits your physical capacity. With Dalat's cooling weather, it is not as strenuous as you might think.

  • Local Market

If you wish to experience the true Dalat vibe, do take a walk into the local market. You can get pretty good bargains on jackets and scarfs. They also have an array of street food. On weekends, they normally block off roads so that the local kids can play. It is a great way to immerse yourself in the Dalat culture and break free from the norm of being in a touristy area. Something we always aim to achieve. There are coffeehouses all around town so that would be a great way to spend the nights.
