i lost my religion about 40 years ago,vietnam,i want to try and get god back but find it very difficult after?
reverse the cycle i feel im missing thinks in life,i do not want to approach a priest.im in a real dilemma,can any body help.is there a simple book to start from scratch
sir...spent 8 years with both 82nd and 75th. Spent time in Honduras, in Panama, and left just before Somalia.
If you're asking what is a simple book from the Bible, I'd say the Gospel of John...maybe listen to Psalms when you read them...
Now..if you're asking about looking for God and wanting to find a book other than the Bible, I'd recommend Max Lucado, or ... Phillip Yancey (where is God when it hurts... disappointment with God).
There's a lot to read...and I know about not wanting to share experiences from the military. Been married going on 7 years now, wife knows I'm not going to tell her much about that period of my life.
I just wanted to share that with you...that even after all I've done, God was still there when I was entering the late period of my life...willing to be there for me, with His arms open.
I'll lift you up in prayer, and ask that the King of Kings reveals His love to your heart.
One last thing, I'm an avid and voracious reader...so i can recommend plenty of good writers....just need to understand a bit more on where the difficulty lay. Recommending the right author is going to depend on so much.
