Are Cambodia and Vietnam good places to holiday?
Planning a trip with girlfriends and would like advice on safety, expense, things to visit etc? Any tips. suggestions and/or experiences welcome.
I spent 4 years in Viet Nam - and loved it. I recently spent 2 weeks in Cambodia and enjoyed it very much too!
My personal preference is Viet Nam, but that is where my friends are, I know more about the country, the language, etc.
Cambodia is hotter, but less humid than Ha Noi (and the humidity in Ha Noi can be a killer!).
Look at how much time you have and what your interests are. Either country is worth a visit. They were both pretty reasonable, cost-wise. And while I personally feel VN is one of the safest places I have ever lived, I didn't get the impression that Cambodia was overly dangerous. Both are probably much safer than -
many parts of Washington, DC for example.
Google both counties and your interests. Either one would be a "winner"! But I would go to VN ;)
