How much would a beer cost at a tourist area of Vietnam?
Do you mean tourist areas as in those that pay big dollars, stay in 4 star posh hotels and book ahead, or those that go to the "back packer" tourist area and pay less that $15 a night?
Areas of tourists are split 3 ways.... the economy areas which are main tourist areas, posh areas with the 4 and 5 star hotels where visiting government dignitaries might stay, and then then there are the places tourists go and congregate... ie tourist attractions.
In the posh areas, expect at least $2 a beer.
In back packer / budget areas, expect upwards from $1
But you can't go past Bia Hoi... Shop around and you can find some that sell as low as 3 cents a glass. Most commonly, just under a dollar a litre.
Bia Hoi is similar to what you might find similar to a micro brewery. No name brand, and the recipe, taste and alcohol content vary from place to place. Most Bia Hoi sits around 5% alcohol. Some has been known to come in at over 9%. In other words, some of the brews have bells on them !! Wooo Hoo...!!
Get blind rotten drunk and still have change out of a dollar.
