vietnam tour, which of these lens?
hi,im going to vietnam for a travel tour with family. I have a 17-50 tamron and a 10-20mm sigma. which of these lens do you suggest that I always put in my D90? I like to shoot landscapes and peoples. but for me a 17-50 is not wide enough for a landscape in vietnam? you think? help me someone who lives there or been to vietnam experience. thanks!
btw,our tour covers more on ho chi mihn. thanks!
Why limit yourself to one lens? Since you're going all that way (presumably from the West), you don't want your trip marred by regret and missed opportunities because you hadn't packed enough.
I would say these 2 lenses are the most basic - don't leave either out. One more lens wouldn't weigh much - pack it in bubble wrap if you haven't got a large enough camera bag.
Also, a UV and polarising filters are essential for tropical glare.
Frankly though, apart from a few historical buildings and temples, there's not much landscape in Saigon to speak of because it's so new and brash compared with more beautiful and elegant cities like Hanoi.
But pack both lenses anyway. :)
